There are so many different cars for sale in the market today, most of the time some car dealers tend to scam buyers who are not well informed about prices of cars in Nigeria therefore I have taken my time to create comprehensive price lists of the commonly used cars in Nigeria.
Prices of cars in Nigeria have increased by almost double because the dollar to naira exchange rate has increased by almost 3 times the value in 2014 and years before. If you like a car but do not have enough money to purchase a new or tokunbo version of it, you can go for a Nigerian used car but keep in mind that it may not last as long as a tokunbo or brand new car.
Before you buy any car, make sure you do due diligence on it by going to see the car with a good mechanic to check everything about it, verify the prices online so that you can negotiate well and make sure all the necessary documents are complete, also check to make sure the vehicle was not stolen to avoid problems in the future. You can also buy your car directly from overseas and clear it yourself using websites like auctionexport, etc, be careful in so doing as novices can be cheated.
The following links contain the current 2016 prices of various types of cars in Nigeria; Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Lexus, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Acura, Audi, BMW, Bentley, Range Rover, Land Rover, etc.
The prices I have listed are just a range of estimates gotten from car dealerships and online car sales websites such as Tradestable, Olx, Jiji, Jumia Car, Cheki, etc. The prices at various car dealerships should not be too far above or below from what is here. Due to different factors, cars tend to increase or decrease in prices from time to time.
