Allied Air is a Nigerian cargo airline which was founded in 1998 and is owned and managed by its Chief Executive officer, Mr Valentine Tongo who is a pilot with several years of experience. It has its headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria and operates from the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
It offers scheduled and charter services in Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Allied Air flies to and from the following destinations in Africa: Lagos, Accra, Freetown, Monrovia, Entebbe, Libreville, Douala, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Nairobi and Malabo, It also flies regularly to to Liege in Belgium.
Allied Air has 3 Boeing 737-400F cargo planes in its fleet and has one operating for DHL South Africa. The airline is an authorized Nigerian Flag Carrier, a license given by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. It is the first IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certified cargo airline in Nigeria and West Africa and is also the designated cargo airline for many routes in Africa under the Bilateral Service Agreement.
The airline has a large cargo and maintenance facility at the Murtala Mohammed International airport and the facility also serves as their corporate headquarters. The airline has over 120 staff in their employ currently and has offices in Nigeria, London, Paris, Amsterdam and Belgium. The airline also provides supervision services for other airlines. Allied Air plans to add two more B737F aircraft to their fleet in 2016.
Clients of the Airline include Central Bank of Nigeria and DHL and they are the only Nigerian registered cargo airline and is the biggest cargo operator in West Africa and Central African Republic.
