Do you like the Mercedes Benz GLK SUV but feel it’s too small? Well, here is a bigger option. Mercedes-Benz is phasing out its GLK SUV from 2016 and is replacing it with a larger SUV called GLC which will be manufactured starting from the 2016 model year and will go on sale in mid-November 2015.
The GLC comes with better safety features, suspension, performance and handling. Daimler AG representative, Thomas Weber said: “Our new GLC represents a further, systematic step in the implementation of our successful SUV philosophy.”
The GLC is better looking and it is 183 inches long, 4.7 inches longer than the GLK which is 178.3 inches long. Its height is nearly the same as the GLK which is 67 inches. It increases in width by about 2 inches to 76.2 inches. Despite the fact that it is larger than the GLK, it is lighter by 176 pounds due to the use of aluminium and high-to-ultra-high-strength steels.
Added features include an Intelligent Drive system with collision prevention and crosswind stabilization standard, keyless start system, 7-inch color screen and media interface for phones and iPods, touchpad control for climate and entertainment, rearview camera, power tailgate and power driver seats.
