Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 is a new rugged phone from Samsung Electronics. It was announced this month and will be released by the second quarter of this year. It sports a 4.5 inch, 480×800 pixels capacitive touchscreen and is dust and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes (IP67 certified). It is also IP67 certified and MIL-STD-810G certified – salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant, in short it is built to withstand the harshest conditions available.
It runs on Android OS, v4.4 (KitKat) with a planned upgrade to v5.0 (Lollipop). It has 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory with 32 GB capacity microSD slot. Its rear camera is 5 MP, 2592 X 1944 pixels with LED flash and its front camera is 2 MP. For connectivity, it has 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and microUSB slot. It uses a Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery and is available in Grey colour. It is priced at $300 (60,000 Naira).
