Samsung recently unveiled its flagship device, the Galaxy S6 and it was announced together with its curved body twin called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. S6 Edge has a 5.1 inch, 1440 x 2560 pixels curved edge Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel which makes it very durable. It has a Nano-SIM slot, a PayPal certified fingerprint sensor and Samsung Pay which is Visa and MasterCard certified.
It runs on Android OS, v5.0.2 Lollipop on an Exynos 7420 chip and a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 or Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 processor. Just like the S6 it has 3GB RAM, 32/64/128 GB internal memory but no more memory card slot. The rear camera is 16 MP, 3456 X 4608 pixels and the front camera is 5 MP, 1080p.
For connectivity, it has 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and Infrared. It has all the Samsung Smart features and uses a Non-removable Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery. It will be available in White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Green Emerald colours.
The phone is expected to be released by April 2015 and its price is estimated at $1000 (200,000 Naira).
