YouTube now allows offline watching of videos

YouTube has listened to the cry of its users with low bandwidth and expensive data plan issues and has launched an offline viewing service which will enable them download videos and watch later. For now the service is available only in India, Indonesia and the Philippines. There is a special icon available on the YouTube website in these countries which a user can click when connected to the internet to download a video and watch later.

Downloaded videos can be watched unlimitedly for 48 hours; Advertisers are also protected as advertisements appear before a video playback as in the online streaming. Hopefully this service will be extended to Africa especially Nigeria as we too are facing low bandwidth and expensive data plan issues.
