Amazon Inc, popular for their online shopping platform have released a new phone called ‘Amazon Fire’. It sports a 4.7 inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 both in front of the screen and back. The phone also has an amazing 3D Dynamic Perspective User Interface which was achieved by using 4 front cameras; other features are System wide tilt, auto-scroll, swivel, and peek functions.
The phone has 2 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal memory but doesn’t have a memory card slot. For connectivity, it has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, NFC and uses Nano-SIM. Its rear camera is 2.1MP while its rear camera is 13MP with LED flash, its speakers use the Dolby Digital Plus sound enhancement system.
The phone runs on Amazon Fire OS v3.5 (based on the Android OS) on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and a Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 processor. It also has Unlimited cloud drive photo storage and Firefly technology. It uses a Non-removable Li-Ion 2400 mAh battery which has up to 285 hours standby time and costs $649 (105,000 Naira).
