Samsung has announced a new phone called Samsung Z which runs on its own locally produced operating system called ‘Tizen’. It sports a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It has 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal memory and has memory card slot expandable up to 64GB. For connectivity, it has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and Infrared.
It runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS v2.2.1 on a Quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU. The rear camera is 8MP while the front camera is 2.1 MP. The phone uses a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery and will be available in Black and Black/brown colours. It is expected to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2014, pricing will be available soon.
