According to a report in The Verge, Nokia is making its first Android based handset called Nokia Normandy which comes as a surprise as the popular phone manufacturer is now Microsoft’s property. The device is rumored to be a low cost one similar to those in the Nokia Asha range.
It is alleged that Nokia Normandy runs on a highly modified Android version like Amazon’s Kindle Fire devices. This development is what a lot of people have wanted as combining the strength and durability of Nokia phones and the excellent Android operating system with its many apps would probably catapult Nokia back to the number one spot in the mobile phone market. The device is rumored to be released in early 2014. Let’s wait and see.
