Airtel Data Plans for Browsing on Android Phones (Including 4GB and 9GB plans)


Android and PC users in Nigeria are not finding it funny to pay for data subscription as the plans offered by MTN, Glo and Etisalat are outrageously expensive and Android phones consume so much data. Airtel Nigeria has however made it quite easy for us as they enable us have access to their Blackberry bundles which offer more data at a less price. See the bundle plans and their prices below:

Airtel Social Plan Monthly N1,200 for 1GB – Send BSM to 440 or Dial *440*4#
Airtel Social Plan Weekly N400, Send BSW to 440 or Dial *440*5#
Airtel Social Plan Daily N100 – Send BSD to 440 or Dial *440*6#

Airtel Complete Monthly Plan N1,600 for 2GB – Dial *440*16#, then dial *141*712*11# to add 10MB (Costs N100) which will enable you use it on Non-BB devices.
Airtel 6GB Plan for 3 Months at N3,000 – Send BBUM3 to 440
Airtel 1.2GB Plan for 3 weeks – Send BBUW3 to 440
Airtel 246MB Plan for 3days at N200 – Send BBUD3 to 440
To check your data balance, dial *123*10# or *123*9#, to deactivate your data plan and re-subscribe send DEACTIVATE to 440, recharge and re-subscribe.
In response to the plea of customers, Airtel Nigeria has released a new data plan for non-bb devices, it is 2 GB for 2,000 Naira and the activation code is *437#, it is valid for one month, to check your data balance on this plan dial*223#.
Another new addition is the 4 GB for 2,000 Naira and 9 GB for 3,500 Naira valid for 2 months. The codes are *437*1# for 4 GB and *438*1# for 9 GB, however not all Airtel SIMs are eligible, o check your eligibility, dial the codes for the data bundles with little or no airtime on your phone, if you are eligible, you will get a message that reads thus “You have insufficient funds for this plan”, if not you wlll be told that you are not eligible for the offer.
