As earlier speculated, Apple unveiled its newest devices on the 22nd of October. The main highlight was the iPad mini 2 successor to iPad mini 1. It still retains the 7.9 inch screen but now comes with a retina display and with 4 times the former resolution at 1536 x 2048 pixels running on Apple’s new A7 chipset. Some disappointing new features are that it’s 0.3mm thicker and 23g heavier
Apple iPad mini 2 runs on iOS 7 and comes in several memory sizes from 16GB to 128GB. It will be available in just Space Grey & Black and Silver & White colors. There will be a 3G/LTE version and a Wi-Fi only version.
Pricing and Availability: iPad mini 2 will be available from November and will have a starting price of $399(64, 000Naira) i.e. for the 16GB Wi-Fi only version, the 32, 64 and 128GB versions will cost higher. The price in Nigeria should range from 70, 000 Naira to 140, 000 Naira depending on the memory capacity and whether its a Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi + 3G model.
